The use of Thanaka:

On the water-whetted rubbing stone, grind as much bark from the Thanaka log*) as required. In doing so, place the piece of wood horizontally on the rubbing stone. Depending on the amount of water, a more or less homogenous paste is produced. Apply this paste to cleaned facial and/or other skin areas. The color will turn slightly yellowish which, however, neither affects your complexion nor textiles of any kind.
Application areas
For sun protection during the whole day provided that you have applied enough paste. For overnight skin care the paste is long lasting and easily removable with warm water.

Please store the damp Thanaka log horizontally and uncovered to better evaporate the contained moisture. This prevents possible quality impairments of this natural product. Depending on the frequency of application, one piece of Thanaka easily lasts for 3 - 6 months.
