QE388 New Resetter for large-format Epson printer
The price of the original EPSON ink cartridge is expensive, how to decrease and save the cost of printing is our concern.
The ink level of EPSON intelligent cartridge is accurately recorded and controled by the chip IC, when used
up, the ink level is zero. It cannot be reused even after the empty ink cartridge is refilled, and this results in high expense.
The QE388 Refill Ink Level Resetter can reset & refill the chip IC on the Epson intelligent ink cartridges,
and do not change the property of the cartridge. Then the empty cartridge can be reused after the ink is refilled.
With its versatility, QE388 Refill Ink Level Resetter can automatically identify the type of ink cartridge, and
then reset the chip on the cartridge into a full mode. QE388 Refill Ink Level Resetter is the first universal
auto chip resetter for Epson large-scale inkjet printers.

Instruction procedures:
Please note for Epson large-scale printers, there are two parts need to be resetted: one is the ink cartridge,
the other is the maintenance. They resetting method is the same.
1. Align the cartridge to the correct notch on the reset unit so that the chip contacts and the pins on the
QE388 resetter meet.
2. Keep the two units in the firm contact. If the red light is blanking, it shows the two units contact well.
3. if the red light turns to green, it show the reset operation is successful.
4. Cartridge is now ready for refilling with dye ink or other brand ink (compatible ink as well).
Troubleshooting:
a) After the red LED flash, it stays on and does nott turn green
1. The pins on the QE388 Ink Level Resetter are not in good contact with the chip on the cartridge. The contact
may be dirty or oily.
2. If the ink cartridge is not an original Epson brand ink cartridge, the chip may be not compatible with
the QE388 Ink Level Resetter.
3. If the ink cartridge is an original Epson brand ink cartridge, the chip may be burned out or Epson may
have changed the chip design. But the QE388 New Ink Level Resetter still can work with this kind of ink
cartridge to reset and fulfill the level, only the green light would not shine.
b) The printing effect is not good.
1. The quality os the ink you are using may be inferior. We recommend using inks that are
specifically matched to Epson original colors and other characteristics. ( Especially if you are printing digital photographs.)
2. Air bubbles entrapped in ink. To avoid this, inject the ink very slowly. Also, allow the cartridge to reset for
24 hours with the ink exit nozzles facing down before using.
